How much of what we think we know about childhood learning is false? Play, experimentation, exploration. It seems obvious these are paths to learning. So, how to create the environments for that to occur?
The different ways of learning are expanding in Minnesota. We live in one of the bigger cities. And yet moving around outdoors, in nature, walking, talking, swimming, and exploring, my son and I are on a bit of a quest to learn how others are learning.
Shouldn't children be free to learn?
Instead of cooped up inside, why not breathe the fresh air, enjoy playing in a variety of environments, and learn directly from each other and from God's creation?
Some writings on this coming soon.
